TMS320F28388D: Compiler version '21.6.0.LTS' is not currently installed!

Hi all,

I am trying to import the cm_echoback_solution example (C:\ti\C2000Ware_4_00_00_00\libraries\communications\Ethercat\f2838x\examples\f2838x_cm_echoback_solution) but I get the error:

Compiler version '21.6.0.LTS' is not currently installed!

I tried to check for updates (Help->Check for updates), but everything is already up to date:

If I go to Preferences->Build->Compilers I can see the 20.2.3.LTS:

When I am working on another project, I can see the compiler version used is 21.6.0.LTS so I know it is there:

Any idea?

This is a known issue with some of the C2000ware example projects. Please see the below post:

I have not seen this post through the search bar.

I edited the empty_c28x_cm_driverlib_project.projectspec file in a text editor and remove the line but I still have the error when I try to import the project.

C:\ti\C2000Ware_4_00_00_00\driverlib\f2838x\examples\c28x_cm\empty_projects\CCS

You need to edit the specific projectspec file for the example that you are trying to import. In the thread I referred you to, that user was trying to import the empty_c28x_cm_driverlib_project project. You are trying to import a different project: f2838x_cm_echoback_solution. So you need to edit the specific projectspec for that project. I am going to guess that to need to edit the below file instead:

<C2000WARE INSTALL DIR>\libraries\communications\Ethercat\f2838x\examples\f2838x_cm_echoback_solution\ccs\f2838x_cm_echoback_solution.projectspec
