Here are the log files from a crash event

I am able to interact with CCS in the tool bar and main file ribbon but anything below the RED line that I drew on the image is frozen in that state.

I see that you are using a F2837xD. What debug probe are you using?

Also, does the hang occur when terminating after some specific set of debug actions or is it pretty random?

Did you try some of the steps in the CCS UG Troubleshooting guide? Specifically cleaning the workspace folder (9.4.3) and the debug sesions (9.7.3 to 9.7.6)?

Yes I did try in a new, clean workspace with same results. It does appear to be random in nature. The debug probe is the XDS100v2 on the TMDSCNCD28379D control card. I will perform the troubleshooting techniques described in 9.7.3 to 9.7.6 now and report back.

I performed the tasks described in 9.7.3, then tried 9.7.4, but the .launch file was not located within the .launches folder directory. 9.7.5 is a bit confusing as there instructions do not exactly say what to do. It only states where this "fsclean" utility would be located and where the deleted cache files could be found. Within the ...ccs[x]/ccs_base/common/bin directory. There is a fs.exe and a fsclean.bat I ran them both as administrator on my windows PC. I am now unable to recreate the frozen screen issue. I will continue to monitor this issue and reply here if it resumes the frozen scenario.

The frozen debug screen is back. Attempting the troubleshooting strategies in section 9.7.6 indicate that the issue is with CCS itself. Steps 1 and 2 do not get the CCS application to respond. Step 3 kills CCS in the task manager.

A few glace at the logs seem to indicate that the hang is not from the debugger but the debug probe itself and also the IDE.

If the debug probe is hanging, I'm surprised that 9.7.6 step two did not help. Anyway, we are still investigating and I will keep you posted of any updates.
