Good morning,
I have taken the contents of the flash of a TMS320LF2401A with CCSv3.3.83.20 generating a .DAT file, now I need to generate the .OUT file to program a new component,
but I'm having a problem. I performed the procedure described in the 7888.Reprogramming.pdf file that I took from the link
e2e.ti.com/.../ccs-tms320lf2407a-read-flash-contents,
but when I go to click on BUILD I get the BUID ERROR: CANNOT RUN DSPCL error.
Can someone help me? Could it be that the compiler of CCSv3.3.83.20 is not good and you need the CCSv3.3.83.19 version?
Where can I download it from? or can I solve it in another way? Thank you.

It appears you have a working copy of CCSv3.3. So, why not save the contents of the LF2401A as a .out file itself (instead of a .dat file)? This way you can use the .out file itself to reprogram the new device.

These versions of CCS 3.3 does NOT support F24x.

You need a special version of CCS 3.3 that supports 24x. This special version of 3.3 requires a paid license. Do you (or your organization) have an existing license for this version?

My apologies, CCS 3.3.83.19 has 24x support. CCS 3.3.83.20 does NOT. I assume you are using CCS 3.3.83.19 ins the screenshot above?

Looks like you were able to conenct to aa 24x core using a blackhawk USB emulator. Is that with 3.3.83.20? That build does not have 24x support. Perhaps the blackhawk drivers added emulation support for it when you installed it.

In any case, 3.3.83.20 would not come with the 24x build tools (compiler). For 3.3.83.19, you need a license. If you alreayd have an existing program/project, then the 24x build tools must have been used to create it. That would assume that a license once existed. Is it likely that you or your organization once had a license?

We do not have an existing project nor a license, we have installed the blackhawk usb2.0 package and downloaded the content from the TMS320LF2401A flash.

it is an operation that we are carrying out to repair an identical board that has the TMS320LF2401A in short circuit.
