TMS320F28386D: EMAC: Additional words in reception buffer

Hello,

I have managed to succesfully implement reception of data on the Ethernet without interrupt usage but I encounter something I don't understand.

For the reception, I have configured the EMAC to wwork in store and forward mode.

I am sending packets of 68 bytes that I manage to receive thanks to internal loopback.

The RDES3 tells me in write back format that 72 bytes were received (the 68 bytes + FCS I assume).

However, when I go to my reception buffer, there are 2 additional words in it as you can see from the below screenshot :

This does not feel normal to me but I have no explanations.
