The 'Time-Base Counter Synchronization Scheme' figure in F28004x TRM shows that SYNCOUT can also come from ECAP1SYNCOUT and ECAP4SYNCOUT. However, in the register description for SYNCSELECT, we have have only following Syncout Source:
00: EPWM1SYNCOUT selected
01: EPWM4SYNCOUT selected
10: EPWM7SYNCOUT selected
Could you confirm if ECAP1SYNCOUT and ECAP4SYNCOUT are sources for SYNCOUT in F28004x?
Well it depend on which ePWM SYNCIN or EXTSYNCOUT you are talking about.
For EPWM SYNCIN, each EPWM's mux is different.
For the ECAPs it is different as shown above
For EXTSYNCOUT (SYNCOUT):

The ECAP connections are not in the options for SYNCOUT. I believe they exist and they are missing from the SW and SysConfig tool but I have to check with design as well. if they are missing, We will work on updating these asap.

Still waiting on design to get back to me. I found this diagram as well. One of the two is correct. Awaiting design to confirm.
