Hi, I'm using the TMS320F28379SZWTT device in a new design which is limited to 24ADC channels.

I actually need 28 ADC channels and was wondering if I could use an external with 5 i/p MUX (or more) and connect its o/p to one of the ADC channels and control the MUX with GPIO?

Also can you recommend a TI MUX that is available?

The component you have in mind has 1.8v I/O. All C2000 MCUs have 3.3v I/O. You may want to consider a device with 3.3v I/O.

Hi Ian,

From TMUX1208PWR datasheet, the device can handle a wide range of operating voltage (VDD = 5V - 1.8V) so you should be good as long and you bias the device to 3.3V to be the same level as the TMS320F28379SZWTT I/O as Hareesh has noted.

Connecting an analog mux to expand the analog channels on an ADC channel input on the TMS320F28379SZWTT device is an acceptable solution.

H, from the data sheet the TMUX1208PWR device seems to be fully spec up to 6V for VDD and logic. I was planning on powering the device from 3.3V (VDD) with 3.3V logic signals from the TMS320F28069 device and 3V will be the max analogue signal?
