TMS320F28027F: Freeze load option

Hi,

Related to this thread. I am interested if there is any Freeze load option also provided for preventing loading Period and Phase Value from their shadow to active registers. I've found this Freeze load option only for CMPA and CMPB registers (Fields LOADAMODE, LOADBMODE in CMPCTL register).

Slave modules are in my configuration set that the values of TBPRD, CMPA, CMPB are loaded from shadow to active registers when the SYNC event occurs (Master module generates the SYNC OUT signals).  I would like to use the freeze option to make sure that the values of TBPRD, CMPA, CMPB shadow registers of all modules are updated before load to active registers occurs.

Best regards,

Rok

  • Hi Aivaras,

I am interested if there is any Freeze load option also provided for preventing loading Period and Phase Value from their shadow to active registers.

For loading the period, the F2802x device only has the PRDLD register bit which only has the configuration for either doing shadow loading on TBCTR=0, or no shadow loading. There is no kind of loading provided for the phase value.

Our new devices do have the capability to do "global loading", which is a feature that allows you to update these parameters all at the same specified time. An example of such devices is F2837xD, F2807x, F28004x, F28003x, or F28002x.

    Best Regards,
