TMS320F28335: Buildfile generation error occurred. This project was created using a version of compiler that is not currently installed - 6.2.9 [C2000]

Part Number: TMS320F28335
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSDOCK28335

Where  can I get compiler 6.2.9 to eliminate error (Buildfile generation error occurred. This project was created using a version of compiler that is not currently installed - 6.2.9 [C2000]: - See 'Help > Install New Software' and select 'Code Generation Tools Updates' to check if this compiler is available through a CCS update.)

  • All the settings mentioned by you, I know very well. Right now, the problem is that any CCS version (from 6 to 9) is not becoming compatible with TMDSDOCK28335 board. And showing same error. Right before 3 month ago I have installed ccs 8.3 with control suite and C200ware, it works fine without any required further updates (with in a single step installing). Therefore, it is requested to you please provide certain guidance so that I can easily install the same. Further, I have also tried to install to install C2000 complier but still in preferences CCS is not detecting 6.2.9 complier.

  • If the update was successful, then cmpiler 6.2.9 should be successful.

I tried it with my CCS 9.3 install.

I checked for available compiler updates and saw 6.2.9:

I selected it and had CCS download and install it.

After CCS restarted, I can see that CCS has discovered compiler 6.2.9:

If you do NOT see it here, try pressing the "Refresh" button to have CCS scan for it. If it does not find it, please browse to the below location:

    <CCS INSTALL DIR>\ccs\tools\compiler

It should appear there if the compiler was actually downloaded and installed on your system.

Let me know what you see in your environment.

    Thanks

    ki
