TMS320F280025: EPWMSYNCIN details

Hi Team,

In the early revision of F28002x TRM, SyncSocRegs.SYNCSELECT had only SYNCOUT bits. However in the latest revision I see new fields like 'EPWM1SYNCIN', EPWM13SYNCIN, etc added. What are these fields for when we have dedicated EPWMSYNCINSEL for Sync input selection?

Also, in F28003x TRM EPWMSYNCINSEL register detail it says that 'The SYNCOUT from an EPWM or ECAP instance cannot be connected to its own SYNCIN (i.e. PWM1 SYNCOUT cannot be connected to PWM1 SYNCIN)'. Isnt this statement is valid for EPWMSYNCINSEL register in F2838x and F28002x as well?

    This is a mistake, thank you catching it. These fields should not appear in the SYNCSELECT register.  Please look at the F2838x device for the right register content. I will submit this so that it gets fixed in the next TRM update.

    Yes, the F28003x device was release recently and we have not updated the F2838x or F28002x TRM but will be doing so in the near future. This note will appear in the F28002x and F2838x TRMs as well.
