TMS320F280049: Error handling function to be called when an ASSERT is violated

Looks like the error is in setupFBPWM.

Can you find the exact line before we go to the error handler?

So then you want to go inside the EPWM_setClockPrescalar to see which assert is failing.

So is your base the BASE for EPWM? Can you check the value?

Shouldn't be the cause of this problem.

That is the only assert that I see in your code. Can you go to the line with assert with the debugger connected and add the "base" variable to the watch window?

Sorry, how i get the variable "base"? and I do not know how to operation it.

BTW, I blocked that line of code, and it also reported the same error.

Then that is not the line of code that is causing the _error_ . Can you identify which line of code in below is throwing the error.

Are you REBUILDING everything? 

Sometimes the driverlib header files are copied to the project and sometimes they are referenced from the c2000ware folder. so you may be editing a file that is not exactly used.

I just looked at your code. There is not a chance that it is failing on this line: 

Because the only assert is for the base address and your base address is correct.

Do you have optimization turn on?

When I set the program inside, it works fine when no parameter is passed. Just like as the below figure, and direct set the PWM_Base.

Then I think the parameter passing caused the error, I am looking for why it? Thanks!

Can you add the parameters back in and disable optimization? This is a very strange issue and I think it has to do with how the compiler/SW are interacting.

So, I just step into the inline code as showed below:

When I finish executing ASSERT(EPWM_isBaseValid(base)) it occur an error. 

This I have not seen before. Veena Kamath do you have any idea what is happening here? Something I am missing?

Can you confirm that the base parameter is valid while inside this function? You can view the variable value in Variables / Expressions view.

Hi Veena,

I could confirm that the variable value directly pass to the EPWM1_Base. Not sure what's problem with my Demo project.

 I wanted to confirm that there is no stack corruption happening at run time due to which the base variable got updated to some other value.

Could you please place a breakpoint at the first line in the  function and view the value in Variables / Expressions view
