TMS320F280049: security function

Part Number: TMS320F280049

Hi Team,

My customer is finding TI’s stand-alone security IC solution like Microchip’s TA-100, however, I have checked with team that we don’t have this kind of IC, I learn that security function might be built into our DSP product, so it doesn’t need additional security IC.

I would like to confirm if F280049 have built-in security function like the stand-alone Microchip part-TA100 ?

    Hi Charles,

    Security feature on F280049 device apply to code security only which means it only protects the access to code/data stored in secure flash sectors or run time code/data in secure RAM region. It's not same as features available on TA100 device.
