TMS320F280039C: TMS320F280039C: CLB Tile 4 Peripheral Muxing

Part Number: TMS320F280039C

Hi,

As a follow up to my previous question, when we say for CLB Tile 4, the replica signals CLB_OUT0_2 and CLB_OUT_3 i.e. CLB4_OUT16 and CLB4_OUT24 both are going to Global MUX and this is intentional. What will be the use case here? I mean will there be any scenario where user would configure the same signal to go to Global mux twice?

Regards,

Irene

  • Hi Irene,

Off the top of my head, I cannot think of an exact scenario. Let me reach out to technical documentation to double-check the reasoning for this. For now, it does not look to negatively impact anything, but I will get back to you with more details.

    Regards,

    Peter

  • Hi Irene,

This connection was left on when reusing the module design from previous devices. I was not informed of an exact use scenario but this was the reasoning I was given. Like I mentioned before, it would not seem like this would impact any cases as if it was not muxed to the Global Mux, it would be left unconnected similar to the other signals.

    Regards,

    Peter
