TMS320F28377S: Flash ECC trip zone flag is set if flash ECC is tested during power up

Hi,

I use the power on self tests (POSTs) that we have been using in one of our previous projects to do the POSTs on a motor controller based on F28377S. Those POSTs use TI's STL library. If I allow the POSTs to execute the flash ECC test, then I get the flash ECC trip zone flag set when the code is running. The flash ECC POST is based on the STL example provided by TI. It works. However, flash ECC trip-zone flag is set when I activate the POST.

Do you know possible reason for this behavior.

Dhammika,

Do you mean the single bit flash ECC error? Or the flash uncorrectable error (causing NMI)?

Hi Vamsi,

I am sorry, I have provided some wrong info. In fact it is the ADC post-processing-block (PPB) trip-zone flag that is set. Attached documents shows the details of the settings. Sorry for the misinformation. I was a bit confused because the trip-zone registers do not seem to behave rationally.
