Does any one know what code is shipped with the DRV8412-C2-KIT is it the 2xDC_motor or something else? Also are there more sample code available for the Piccolo F28035 controlCARD

    The software is included in the controlSUITE software download.  This is also where you will find more generic F28035 controlCARD software.

    I still need this answered .Does any one know what code is shipped with the DRV8412-C2-KIT is it the 2xDC_motor or something else? There were only two examples with this KIT.

    Gregg,

    I checked with the team and was told the 2xDC and Stepper project are in controlSUITE (www.ti.com/controlsuite). Kit ships with a GUI that shows operation of both.

    The actual software that’s on the thumb drive is 

     

    DRV8412GUIv5.out

    DRV8412GUIv5.exe

    QSG-DRV8412-C2-KIT-GUI.pdf 

    This one has a selection of Single Brushed DC Parallel Mode 

    Where is the source code for DRV8412GUIv5.out? I assume the *.out is the file that lives on the DSP card

    controlSUITE will always have the latest, both were recently rev'd to v6 this week.

    I don't have a copy of the v5 on me, but it should have both the 2xDC and the Stepper in the GUI....plus a single DC parallel tab.

    The .out is the compiled version of the final build levels of the source code for the 2xDC and the Stepper + some additional code needed for the UART communications to the GUI. 

    It isn't shared for this kit, but there is no reason that it couldn't be.

    We are looking at using the Piccolo as well as the motor chip in a design but we are after a closed loop with Encoder one channel so I am interested in the Single DC Parallel we will need to have communications with a PC through the FTDI USB chip so I am interested in the uart code can I get the source for that project please?
