LAUNCHXL-F28379D: How to connect with motor resolver signals

Hi there,

Hopefully this is an easy question, and I'm just struggling to understand this; how can I connect a resolver signals from an IPM machine to the F28379D launchpad? I know that it has the SDFM digital filters; are these ADC's? If so, can I directly connect the SIN and COS signals from a motor resolver to the SDFM pins on the launchpad? If not, is there a resolver-2-digital board I need to facilitate this? Any feedback or documentation on how to do this would be appreciated, as this is my first time working with a resolver, nor am I super familiar with the launchpad in the first place. 

If it's helpful to the question, I am trying to connect the resolver to obtain motor speed/angle data to create a closed-loop controller.
