Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

Burn TI's routines and adjust to current-voltage dual closed-loop mode, 110-V power-up without load, and output voltage stable at 400 V.

However, with a load current of 0.1A in the CCH mode, the load side shows loading to 3000W. But the input is already current-limited. After power-down and power-up again, the output voltage reaches 430V, the overvoltage protection point is reached, and the input power supply reports a negative opp error.

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

In the User Guide I believe we did not mention that it was tested for load current of 0.1A. Most likely something in the h/w got damaged. You can run Build 1 and then build 2 software step by step to see what is bad in the h/w. This is detailed in the User Guide.

Build 1 and Build 2 are voltage-free and must be loaded if tested. But can it be tested without a load? The customer is not testing for a load current of 0.1A, but has already had a problem when it is loaded to 0.1A. But normally, after no load power up, load half directly?

This is a very old design. I dont have a board. A better BL PFC choice will be the recent TIDM-1007.

You should use some load as specified in the UG. 0.1A could be too low. Dont test it without load.

As per the manual, a 40-w8-kohm load resistor is also used, which is equivalent to a 0.1-A load?

Then something might be wrong with h/w. If you can debug using build 1 and build 2 s/w then pls do so. Otherwise they can send for replacement.

If use build1 and build2, dose it need to be load first? If so, what exactly is the power-up process to follow?

Use the User-Guide and follow the steps for Build1. Then test Build 2 same way. See if you can find out what part of h/w is bad. If you cannot find this way then you will probably need to send the board for replacement
