TMS320F2812: Assistance setting up F2812 eZdsp

Hello,

I am attempting to install Code Composer Studio 2.21 and am looking for clarification on the process. So far, I've run the install cd to install 2.21 but, need clarification on which drivers, and any other setup that that may be required in order to get it working with a separate F2812 eZdsp board/hardware. Currently, if I try to launch the tool I get an error message (attached). I also have another cd for drivers but not sure where to run or save those files. I'm currently getting the error message regardless of whether the separate hardware is plugged in or not. Therefore, the tool does not open. Thanks.

    Hi,

    Code Composer Studio 2.21 is outdated. Any reason that you want to use this paricular version? The latest version is 11.0

    Also, how are you connecting the F2812 board to the CCS - which debugger are you using?

    Hello. This particular version is required for a project. The CD that I initially ran was to install CCS c2x ezDSP Kit Tools. I'm not certain which debugger is set up, if any. Perhaps it is included in the other cd? 

    I believe the F2812 board was connected to the printer port on the Windows XP laptop. I first connected the cable to the laptop, plugged in the power cable, and then connected the power to the board.

    Hi, 

    Since it is a very old version of CCS, will have to check if the drivers are still avaiable . If so, will send you a download link.

    Also, can you let us know which debugger is being used. The debugger is connected to the JTAG on the DSP kit.
