TMS320F280049: Will setting the CSM password to all 0 affect the code execution?

Part Number: TMS320F280049

Hi Champ,

I am asking for the customer.

Customer believe that not allowing unlock is good for security. If the DCSM password is set to all 0, does it mean that the secure memory and the update program can no longer be accessed from the JTAG port, but does not affect the execution of the software?

And is it the same in F28035's CSM when password is set to all 0?

Best regards,

Julia

Yes, that is correct. Please note that it same as programming any other  password value and not knowing the password hence can not unlock the device.

And is it the same in F28035's CSM when password is set to all 0?

Yes, this specific feature (can not unlock the security if password programmed is ALL_0) is same .
