Hi team,
My customer need assistance.
Company currently developed one electric motor controller product using TMS320F28027F, using Instaspin FOC, with features from TI FAST& IPD, HFI technology, with success of first product. we are planning to design another premium version motor controller which more powerful and more features than existing product. After comparing available MCUs in the market, we are planning to choose TI TMS320F28035, 80Pin version as Main IC for the new product. After technical evaluation, we found the only issue not solved is TMS320F28035 IPD HFI motor control library not available and the most important parts is we need our product have sensor less function.
Kindly help. Thanks.
Does this customer still need to use InstaSPIN-FOC? Or they plan to use the other control algorithms? As you know, the TMS320F28035 device doesn't support InstaSPIN-FOC.
Why the customer want to use the TMS320F28035? Not to use the newer C2000 device like F28002x or F28003x if they need more GPIOs and the other peripherals?
Hi YanMing
We like to choose Tms320f28035 with consider of more Gpio, CAN bus eth. Also because we like to have different MCU platform to easy shortage of IC issue. Was checking of 280034 with instanspin feature but long lead time also a block for us to choose them.
As mentioned above. The F2803x series device doesn't support InstaSPIN-FOC including F28035 and F28034.
You may try to use the newer TMS320F280025C for motor control if you need more GPIOs and interfaces.
Hi Luo,
There is an update from the customer:
We just need IPD and HFI libraries for Tms320f28035. Kindly share to us if there is any channel to get them.
Send the customer's information to C2000 Marketing team, Chris to request this.
