TMS320F28388D: ETHERCAT AND ETHERNET ,need phy？

My previous design was tms320f28377 + dp83867. Now it is changed to tms320f28388 to realize Ethercat communication. Do you still need PHY dp83867? If Ethernet 100m communication is required, Do you still need PHY dp83867?

    Hi Zhang,

    Yes, for F2838x device both EtherCAT and EtherNet need external PHYs. DP83867 is a gigabit speed PHY, which isn't necessary since F2838x only supports up to 100Mbps. We utilize DP83822I on the TMDSCNCD28388D evaluation board, also DP83826E is a good option.
