TMS320F28379D: Problem in getting phase shifted ePWM

Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Is there any rule that if we are using ePWM4, ePWM5, ePWM1 and ePWM2 then we have to make ePWM1 as master for getting phase shift signals? Actually, I was trying to make ePWM4 as master and the rest all as slaves but then I am not getting proper waveform. When I am selecting ePWM4 as master and ePWM5 as slave I am getting desired wave form, but When I am selecting ePWM4 as master and ePWM1 as slave I am no getting desired wave form rather frequency of ePWM1 getting changed to some other value.

In general yes, EPWM4 cannot serve as the synchronization source for EPWM1. Below is a diagram of the synchronization scheme for this device. Notice that the sync output of EPWM1 only feeds into EPWM2 (which can then be fed into EPWM3) and EPWM 4 (to then be fed into EPWM 5/6) etc.

There is no connection from EPWM4's sync out pulse to be an input for EPWM 1's synchronization input.
