TMS320F28388D: Example Code to Copy A Function From Internal Flash to RAM and Run at Runtime

Hi Erhan,

Yes, you can do that copy the code into the RAM. You will need to use #pragma statement.

Please refer to the C2000Ware example "flashapi_ex1_programming.c". If you search for function Example_CallFlashApi() above the function you will see comments with #pragma.

Also apart from that I want to create a project from zero. So I want to know all start up behaviour of my cpu. I want to take all control from IDE to me. 

For example. What I have seen is that when i do debug. The ide first running init code something like _c_int00 from boot._asm in RTS library.  I dont know exactly what does this code doing.

I want to know all what my cpu is doing from start on. How can i learn it? Are there any documents to create a projec from scratch? Also For multi cpu applications?

I read your post. Thanks for your affort. I start to undersrtand.  It seems I should put my funcs in  the TI.ramfunc section.

However, I wanto have multiple applications. For firmware update etc. Lets say i have 2 applications(apps) and both of them are in the flash in different slots. At power on my startup code will decide to which app to start. Lets say it is decided app1. Then it will copy the RAM functions of app1 from flash to RAM.

I found something like this in the assmebler doc (TMS320C28x Assembly Language Tools v21.6.0.LTS User's Guide (Rev. W) (ti.com))

.TI.ramfunc : {} load=FLASH, run=RAM, table(BINIT)

I think this is loading the func from flash to ram and run but it is for one application. How can I organize it for 2 apps in one project?

I wanted to add that I was reading the TMS320C28x Assembly Language Tools doc and got that it might be possible with copy tables and using unions. But i didnt try anything yet. Fyi.
