TMDSDOCK28379D: Generating two pulses in one switching cycle using EPWM

Part Number: TMDSDOCK28379D

Hello,

I need to generate two pulses at the EPWM pin in one switching cycle. Additionally, I need a dead band for these pulses. Can I use CMPC and CMPD with dead-band? If yes then let me know,  How to do it.

  • Hi Nikhil,

CMPA and CMPB are used by the action qualifier and counter compare submodules to create events for the EPWM outputs. I would suggest setting up your EPWMs with an up-down count mode, this will give you larger flexibility in setting up actions to give you the two pulses during one EPWM period. Yes, dead-band can be applied to the rising/falling edge of the outputs.

Here is a video series of our EPWM module, which can help explain all of the submodules.

Additionally, please refer to the epwm examples within C2000Ware

    Best Regards,

    Marlyn
