TMS320F28377S: Can microcontroller boot up faster than 250 ms from internal flash?

Hi,

It seems TI Boot ROM execution takes 250 ms during power up. Time was measured from external 3.3V signal to first possible I/O control with oscilloscope.

Questions:

1) Can device boot up faster than 250 ms from internal flash?

2) How long should it take to boot up microcontroller, worst-case / typical TI Boot ROM execution?

the typical boot rom execution to flash takes roughly 1ms. can you check how much time the application takes to toggle the I/O.

After device is released from reset, it takes 167 ms before I/O toggling is visible. I/O toggling is the first things done in main.c.

Below figure red signal is XRS. Blue signal is GPIO90.

I found out the reason for slow power up / IO toggling. Whole RAM was initialized to zero in assembly file before C-file main() was executed. After removing RAM clearing, it takes about 5 ms to start I/O toggling.
