TMS320F28031: Control DC Current in FOC

Hi All,

Phase currents can be controlled in FOC. but how to control the DC Current. i have a requirement to control Speed of the motor and DC current drawing from the Battery,

I have implemented Speed loop and controlling Motor Speed but DC Current from the battery is pumping very high which is not acceptable.

Please provide some control scheme to control DC current when it exceeds the certain limit.

Generally, FOC only controls the d-axis and q-axis current injected on the motor, not control the motor phase current and dc bus current directly.

You have to add a dc bus current sensor and implement a PI regulator or the other regulator to control the dc bus current by limit the motor speed or torque current.
