I want to invalidate hysteresis, but will be possible?

Champs,

It is a question about the hysteresis of on chip comparator/DAC.
In an explanatory note (1) of P.129 of technical data [SPRS584E] of TMS320F2803x.
There is a description that there is Option invalidating hysteresis and feedback resistance.
To see the clause of the comparator of manual [SPRUGE5b] , but there is not such a description.
I want to invalidate hysteresis, but will be possible?

Best regards,
Hideaki Maeda

  • Maeda-san,

    When we originally announced the part, we did not intend to allow the user to disable the comparator.  However, a few months ago we decided to add this option.  All header file releases that are v124 or greater for the F2803x set of devices (or v128 or greater for the F2802x set of devices) have the register needed to disable the hysteresis in the comparator.

    For example, if you want to disable the hysteresis of comparator 1 you would do the following:
    AdcRegs.COMPHYSTCTL.bit.COMP1_HYST_DISABLE = 0x1
    By default the hysteresis will be enabled.

    We are working on updating the ADC user's guide (SPRUGE5b) to document this register, bit, and the functionality of the hysteresis.  I would expect the update to be released in a month or two.

    Thank you,
    Brett

  • Brett,

    I thank for your answer very much.

    Our customer thanks you very much, too.
