Hi All,

Can anyone help?

I have a number of boards based on the TMS320F2812 which I need to program via SDflash.

The boards are clocked from 30Mhz and the CPU_rate is set to 6.67 however, when I run the SDFlash toggle test with the frequency on mdxa pin is approx 3Mhz not the 10Khz as specified in the SD flash ref guide.

The SDflash algorithm files are set up correctly with the correct rates eg 30Mhz, PLLCR = 10 , I just dont understand why Iam getting 3Mhz and not 10Khz

Consequently the devices fail to program.

If try the same experiment on my ezdsp dev board the toggle test works at 10Khz and I can program the flash

Anybody go any ideas I would greatly appreciate it?

follow the design of f2812 ezdsp given by spectrum digital and use the standard example given by spectrum digital. if u have troubles with burning the flash, i guess mostly is the jumper u don't put correctly.

I would suggest checking the XCLKOUT pin to confirm the SYSCLKOUT rate. By default, XCLKOUT = SYSCLKOUT/4.

Many thanks for the suggestions.

I put a scope on the XCLKOUT pin and I am getting 37.4Mhz, which I presume is correct as 150Mhz/4 = 37.5Mhz.

Still none the wiser as to why the toggle test is producing a much higher frequency??

Well I found the problem, the XRST pin was not getting a proper reset on power up. All works perfectly now.
