TMS320LF2406A: What if VCCP is left floating?

Dear Champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

This is for existing products.

If VCCP (pin 40) is left floating, is there any potential bad result?

The user is aware that this pin should be connected to 5V or 0V, but they just wonder what if they violate this?

    Wayne,

         The datasheet very clearly states that this pin must not be left floating. When datasheet guidelines are violated, we cannot predict the precise nature of failure. To answer you question, yes, there is a potential for improper device behavior.
