TMS320F28034: Can peripherals of tms320f28034 chip

I use C2000_ ECAN in ware_ Code in back2back routine. In self-test mode, after mbox0~mbox15 send data, ecanaregs CANTA. Bit0~bit15 of the all register will be set to one,

but I set the STM bit in the canmc register to 0, and start the mailbox box0~box15 to send data, ecanaregs CANTA. Bit0~bit15 of all register is always 0

why?

In non-self-test mode, there should be at least one other node in the network to provide ACKnowledgement. I have explained this in www.ti.com/lit/SPRA876. Refer to 3.1 Minimum Number of Nodes Required

Dear, Hareesh，Thank you very much for your reply。In non-self-test mode, Only a nodes of tms320f28034 is on the CAN bus, Why is the Cantec register not added to 128 and stop there after starting mailbox sending? I use CCS simulation to see that the Cantec register value is always 0，This is different from part 3.1 of the spra876 document。

In self-test mode, the CAN module generates its own ACK, so CANTEC is not incremented.

Dear, Hareesh，I tested in non-self-test mode，Although CANTEC register does not stop at 128, I found that bit EP of bit17 in CANES register has been set to one，This means CANTEC has counted to 128

Will CANTEC automatically clear to zero after counting to 128?

In non-self-test mode, when there is no other node on the bus to provide an ACK, a transmitter will keep transmitting the same message over and over again. In this situation, CANTEC will increment to 128 and stop there. Transmitter will not go bus-off.

No. CANTEC will decrement for every subsequent successful transmit.
