TMS320F280049: ADC and CMPSS configuration for F280049

Part Number: TMS320F280049

Hi Champs,

I ask this for our customer.

Can ADC and CMPSS on the same pin be multiplexed at the same time? For example, if Pin36 is used for ADC sampling and CMPSS input, will this affect the ADC sampling accuracy?

I looked at the replies in this link below and found some answers, but I'm still a bit confused. It says “if the CMPSS output is toggling at a high frequency through the GPIO, it can have an effect on the ADC's accuracy.” I want to know that "CMPSS output" means using CTRIPOUTH to go through X-BAR and output to GPIO? If CMPSS flips and switches at high frequency, will it affect ADC accuracy?

  • Hi Julia,

Yes, that is precisely the case when the CMPSS CTRIPs are routed to the GPIO OUTPUT XBAR and toggled at high frequency when it will affect the ADC accuracy, however if CMPSS TRIPs are not routed in the OUTPUT XBAR, then there will not be an impact on ADC accuracy.
