Dear all,

I have two TMS320F28379D launchpad controllers. I am creating my code through matlab 2019b. The first controller works properly. On the other hand, I cannot programm the second 28379D launchpad.

Although I can connect to it and also upload my programm through CCS, when i try to enable Real-time mode and run the controller i get the following error message:

"C28xx_CPU1: Trouble Reading Register PC: (Error -1142 @ 0x0) Device blocked debug access because it is currently executing non-debuggable code. Choose 'Rude Retry' to disable polite mode and force the operation. (Emulation package 9.3.0.00042) ".

Has anyone came across this problem before? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Can you try running in 'Wait-Boot' mode? It looks like the device is already running some code which is preventing the CCS connection. Please take a look at the link below to learn more about the JTAG connection issue.

Dear Santosh,

Unfortunately the controller is preconfigured inside a closed box and I cannot access it. I can only connect to it through usb. As a result I cannot change the SW configuration. Is there any other way that I can run the 'Wait Boot'?

Dear Santosh,

The problem is resolved. I was building the code from Matlab, and in the 'Target hardware resources' the device name was preselcted as 'F28377D'. When I changed it to 'F28379D', the problem was resolved. Thank you for your quick answers and your help.
