Product Change Notice (PCN) 20180523001.1 for TMS320F2837x affecting Serial Flash Programming

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28379D

Hello,

I am experiencing troubles with serial flash programming (as outlined here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000-microcontrollers-group/c2000/f/c2000-microcontrollers-forum/1117779/tms320f28379d-serial-flashing-not-working-after-loading-kernel/4153601#4153601)

I noticed that the boards from the previous batch that work the majority of the time are of the previous PN (YF instead of $4)

The boards from the current batch have the $4 part number indicating they are of the F65 batch.

Is there anyone who has successfully been able to serial flash these parts using the given flash kernels?

I am using a customized sci-flasher using a Pi that connects to the TMS320F28379D with TX / RX lines and a custom serial flasher.
This setup using the exact same code works on previous batches 95% of the time but does not work at all on the current batch.

Cheers,

Adrian
