TMS320F28384D: TI SYS/BIOS (RTOS) or FreeRTOS port for TMS320F2838xD

Hello,

I am investigating to use TMS320F2838xD for an application. Using some sort of scheduler or RTOS is preferred for the project.

Does the TI based SYS/BIOS or RTOS support this multicore MCU?
1. If so can you kindly point us where we can find the relevant information?
I don't see any port of C2000 in the official FreeRTOS website. Is TI working towards having a FreeRTOS port for the C2000 MCUs ?

Hi Noah!

SYS/BIOS does support F2838x devices, but FreeRTOS is now our recommended RTOS option. It's available at the links below:

Is FreeRTOS well integrated within CCS GUI the same way SYS/BIOS was/is integrated? ( the way system profiling and other metrics of SYS/BIOS work with CCS).

No, there isn't any GUI integration at the moment, although I think we have some additional tools planned for it. I'll check with our FreeRTOS expert and let you know if they have any info to add.
