TMS320F280049: Resetting the Watchdog

Part Number: TMS320F280049
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hi Champs,

I'm currently studying F280049 workshop and have some questions about what's inside the watchdog reset:

The documentation states that we should put 0X55 and 0XAA in main code and ISR but there is no further explanation. I have checked some documents, and there is no explanation of why to do this, and I can't find a similar usage in C2000ware's project. So could you please help explain the reason? Thanks!

Best Regards,

Julia

  • Hi Julia,

Have you refer the watchdog section in device TRM ? Section "3.9.1 Servicing the Watchdog Timer"  of this chapter explains about it. Also for the training material, I would suggest to use the C2000 Academy. This is the link for watchdog in C2000 Academy.

    Regards,
