External use of control cards

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Hello all,

I want to develop a motor driver, and I would like to know if it is possible to use a experimenter's kit to programme a micro-controller and after use the control card plugged in a PCB with a slot for it in order to test if the code programmed works fine with other parts of the design. Other question is if there is a scheme/PCB design to implement the complete system in a single board (with and without a slot).

Thank you before hand.

Jaime

  • Jaime,

You sure can!  TI sells the control cards for just this purpose, usually they are used for limited production type stuff though.  The costs would be prohibitive for large quantities.  You can even find the control cards on DigiKey.  All of the documentation to either use the control card in your design or roll your own is available in ControlSuite. Just click 'kits', then 'control cards' and you will get all the docs you are looking for.

    Good Luck,

    Tom
