TMS320F280025C: Using API's in CCS12 with "auto complete"

I am used to the method of working with hardware such as is done with the 28069. If I want to manipulate the serial port, I start typing "SciaRegs.SCIFFTX...etc". As I type, the posssible options are available to see. With the 280025, I can not find the correct files that would allow me to reference the hardware in a similar fashio. Rather, there are now "API's" that we are being encouraged touse.

Problem is they take longer to look up and then as I am typing, therre is no auto complete to aid in finding the various parameters the API expects. So, questions:

1. Is there a file and correct settings so I can program the 280025 the same way I do on he 28069?

2. OR, can "auto complete" or something like that be enabled so the "API's" are easier to use?

Hello David,

The suggestions that appear for the auto-complete feature in the editor is dictated by the contents of the index file for the project.

The indexer typically scans all related source fand header files for the project. For example, the information for SciaRegs.SCIFFTX is likely picked up from the F2806x_Sci.h file in C2000Ware.

If the indexer is not picking up things that should be getting picked up, you can try rebuilding the index and mentioned in the above link.
