LAUNCHXL-F28379D: Function Profiling for execution time

Hi,

I'm working with LAUNCHXL-F28379D with the onboard USB interface. I would like to profile each function for execution time.

I looked at the quick tip video   "How to use CCS to capture trace data on an AM243x LaunchPad".

However, in my debug session, I don't have the menu  option "Tools->code analysis->Core trace" available.

My debug session only has " tools->Code analysis-> open trace file"

Do I need an XDS for accessing this feature?
