TMS320F28027: Issue in loading the code into controller IC

Dear Sir/ Madam,

For my project I am using 28027 controller. I loaded the sample program from C2000 ware into LAUNCHXL-F28027 and it is successful. Same code I am trying to upload in TMS320F28027DAT (TSSOP 38 package) controller IC using JTAG connection, it is not uploading code and showing following error message:

C28xx: File Loader: Verification failed: Values at address 0x08000@Program do not match Please verify target memory and memory map.
C28xx: GEL: File: D:\Software\Office Time\DSP CCS\DSP CCS Code Save\F28027_standalone\Debug\F28027_standalone.out: a data verification error occurred, file load failed.

What will be the possible error ? Kindly help me.

I am using JTAG (XDS100V2) with manually made breakout board with necessary component for TMS320F28027DAT. Also I have verified jtag connection it is showing successful.

Prasad,

Just to confirm, you are able to run from RAM of TMS320F28027DAT board. The problem you are seeing only when you try to write the program to flash. Is my understanding correct?

Does the board has any code running? Can you put the board in 'WaitBoot' mode and then try again?

Actually on TMS320F28027DAT board i am not able load any program neither in RAM nor in FLASH.

Q) Does the board has any code running?

ANS) No. I am using the example files from C2000 ware to test the controller IC.

Actually I am trying to make a custom board with TMS320F28027DAT controller IC. Is there any change in the linker command file for TMS320F28027DAT controller IC when compared to TMS320F28027PTT controller IC??. Since I have referred below link for Data Verification error. I feel the linker command file might be different. If so please suggest me the changes.

Prasad,

There is no difference in Linker Command file between Launchpad and controlCARD. You just need to make sure you are using correct linker file for the device. There are three linker command file, which one you are using in your project?

C:/ti/c2000/C2000Ware_4_01_00_00/device_support/f2802x/common/cmd/F2802x_generic_ram.cmd
C:/ti/c2000/C2000Ware_4_01_00_00/device_support/f2802x/common/cmd/28027_RAM_lnk.cmd
C:/ti/c2000/C2000Ware_4_01_00_00/device_support/f2802x/common/cmd/F28027.cmd

I will recommend to use : F2802x_generic_ram.cmd

In the project setting, make sure correct device is selected.

Which example you are using? What is the compiler version?
