TMS320F28035: Can I measure PWM signal ?

Hi Team,

I would like to confirmed with you if TMS320F28035 is able to sense PWM signal as I do not see any SDFM module.

For example, if I have an general PWM speed signal like 1kHz with random duty cycle.

How do I feed those signal into the microcontroller to measure it?

Hi,

You can capture PWM signal using eCAP module. There is an example in C2000Ware SDK which illustrates it.

Dear Santosh,

Thank you to Ernest who is FAE of TI who support me on this topic,

I want to ask more about this regards, because my ECAP1 in TMS320F28035 alread in use of encoder feedback.

Could I use any other module to perform measurement instead like eQEP, HRCAP, ePWM or even normal GPIO ?

(In application, I need to measure flow rate and duty of PWM for application control)

Hi,

You should be able to use HRCAP. There is an example for hrcap used for pwm.
