TMS320F28388D: CPU2 ADC by Software Trigger Mode

Hi everyone.

I am currently working on a project using the TMS320F28388DZWTS.

My plan is to use ADC driver on CPU2 and the trigger source is software.

However, if you set the ADC initialization and check the memory as shown below,

the setting value is '0'.

May I know why? If anyone knows, please reply.

Hello HanSeoung,

To use the ADC with CPU2, you must first transfer ownership of the ADC to CPU2. On CPU1, write to CPUSEL11.ADC_A and CPUSEL11.ADC_B (in the DEV_CFG_REGS) to transfer ownership to CPU2. Then CPU2 will have access to the registers and you can write/update them.

You can also do this with driverlib:

#include <sysctl.h>

SysCtl_selectCPUForPeripheralInstance(SYSCTL_CPUSEL_ADCA, SYSCTL_CPUSEL_CPU2);
SysCtl_selectCPUForPeripheralInstance(SYSCTL_CPUSEL_ADCB, SYSCTL_CPUSEL_CPU2);
