PowerSUITE: file main.syscfg of TIDM-02000 doesn't open the GUI

I used the CCS 11.0 and C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_DigitalPower_SDK_4_01_00_00

The sysconfig can work normally. I feel it has nothing to do with version. I am checking with my colleage internally and will get back to you.

i've noticed that into CCS when i navigate the menu to help>about code composer studio>installation details>plug-ins, in the list of plugin is not present the "system configuration tool". From what i red on TI website, the SysConfig component should be delivered integrated in CCS. Could it be that this component is not installed, and as consequence the file "main.syscfg" cannot be opened ?

Can you confirm under "Installed Software" tab that Sys Config is installed. See below screen shot.

yes it is present under "Installed Software" (and not under plugin where i searched for). But despite that i still cannot open the file "main.sysconfig".

To make a try, i've installed SysConfig as standalone tool (version 1.14.0.2667, different from the version integrated in CCS which is 1.12.0.2406) and i tried to open the file "main.syscfg" as Existing Design. As result i get the following error, maybe it is somehow helpful to understand what is the issue.

When trying to open the main.syscfg page in the standalone tool, you have to pass the path to the directory that contains product.json file. [sdk_install]/powerSUITE/.metadata

The product.json will tell SysConfig what version of powerSUITE to reference.

i have imported in CCS an example from C2000Ware and somehow this operation has definitely solved my issue since now i'm able to open also the SysConfig file of the TI design!

Hi Ozino,

with standalone tool i tried to open the product.json file, but i get anotehr error. Anyway, now i don't need to use the standalone tool, that's enough that SysConfig tool works inside CCS.

Sounds like you were able to open the tool within your CCS installation, is that correct? Please note the product.json file is not meant to be opened to but to be referenced by the SysConfig tool in order for the tool to know what product is being used.
