Dear Champ,

I am asking this for our customer.

The user is concerned about the code size of using TI deriverlib.

1) When the compiler builds TI deriverlib, does it put all the driverlib on the flash or only these APIs who have been called in the codes?

2) Do we have any doc to show code size analyses for each of the APIs and the whole driverlib? Or do we have anything similar to show our code usage is efficient?

    Hi Wayne,

    1. Driverlib projectspec use the "--gen_func_subsections" compiler option. This placed each function in a file in its own subsection.  Due to this, only the functions/APIs that are referenced in the application code are linked into the final executable. This results in an overall code size reduction.

    2. I don't think we have any analysis done for the code size. Will check and get back to you on this.
