Part Number: TMS320F2812
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28379D

Dear Support team,

I am connecting XDS100V2 DSP Emulator with CCS 10.4.0(PC - windows 7 professional, 64 bit OS) and process to test connection, but error message :- error has occurred and this utility has aborted.

I click file -> New -> Target Configuration file -> untick on use shared location and by default location is c:/User/ti/CCSTargetConfigurations -> Clicked on finish.

Let me know if need to select other file from file system.

I would like to know for XDS100V2 DSP Emulator for TMS320F2812 which CCS version needed on PC - windows 7 professional, 64 bit OS.

Regards

Sachin

  • Hi Sachin,

Win7, 64-bit should work with CCS version you have 10.4.0 as per the release note:

    https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/CCSv10/CCS_10_4_0/exports/CCS_10.4.0_ReleaseNotes.htm

Select the emulator and the device as shown in the image above. Save the target configuration file and then test the connection.

Have you already tried this and encountering any issue?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Santosh

  • Hi Santosh,

I don't have any confusion about CCS 10.4.0 with Win7, 64 bit. It is working fine.

I have query related to XDS100V2. Connection of  XDS100V2 is build, program and debug with TMS320F28379D. But XDS100V2 connection is not establish with TMS320F2812.

Yes i have done the same procedure which you have shown in images, but unfortunately it is showing error.

Please let me know one thing that do i need to connect target board TMS320F2812 during test connection or not? currently i am checking without connecting my target board.

    Regards,

    Sachin

  • Sachin,

If this is external emulator, then you just need to connect emulator, but do not need to connect to target device. If it is onboard emulator, then yes, you need to connect to the target.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Santosh
