Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

Now the customer is working on the SPI communication between 28335 and EtherCAT -- LAN9252. The error reported on TwinCAT is as follows: the board of LAN9252 was self-welded. Also, does the PORT0 of EtherCAT slave station have to be the input port? They connected PORT1 to the computer, ESI file was burned successfully, and TwinCAT was able to scan the slave station information. So what's the problem?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Hello Gus,

Thanks for your support and I just got some updates from the end customer.

1) The following figures show the SPI configuration and the SPI read and write functions:

2) There is also a case where the stack runs into a do_while loop in CCS (see the figure below).

While the program is running, the SPI data transmit acceptance register is changed and has a value, but it does not appear that a value can be read or written to the corresponding address register in LAN9252. The 9252 associated program is automatically generated by the Foctoon SSC with no significant changes.

What is the value returned by PDIReadLAN9252DirectReg()? Is it the correct value or does the code get stuck there?
