TMS320F280025: application issue

Part Number: TMS320F280025
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

Application: Automotive air conditioning heat pump project, currently 400V/800V system, may need to upgrade to 1500V later.

1) It will require upgrade later. The requirements are as follows: 80M for the clock needs to be upgraded to 100/120M, storage resources increase, and OTA capability is preferred. Could you help recommend one?

2) Can the 280025 support both CAN and LIN interfaces? If so, how to use it?

3) When the PIN32 and PIN27 GPIO ports are configured as pulldown, the crystal will not start oscillating. If the configuration is left floating, the crystal will start oscillating. Pins 3, 4, 7, 10, 25, etc. are currently configured as pulldown, will other features of the chip be affected?

4) Can PIN 10 be used as an ad port? (as per the spec it's used as analogue input?)

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hi Cherry,

    Please see my comments below.

F280025 has a maximum operating frequency of 100Mhz so moving from 80Mhz to 100Mhz should not be an issue.  It has max flash memory of 128KB.  Not clear on what the OTA requirements are so please provide more details on this.

    2) Can the 280025 support both CAN and LIN interfaces? If so, how to use it?

F280025 has both the CAN and LIN communication peripherals.  Best way to start learning how to use these is by trying out the C2000Ware examples.  There are basic tests there that demonstrate how each peripheral work.

Can you provide the pin package referred to in questions 3 and 4?  Is it 48, 64, or 100pins?  I can take a closer look if i have the correct package pin type.

    Thanks,

     Joseph
