We are using the TMS320LF2406APZA part with some very old Windows 7 tools. Are there newer tools available that work with this part? We need to make some changes to the code.

Hello,

The last version of CCS to support F24x is CCS 3.3. We recommend using Windows XP with this version (the last Windows version validated with CCS 3.3)

Since the tools are old, can you recommend a newer device?

We are looking for a large number of I/O, around 70 but there isn’t much logic in the part.

If the 70 I/O pins is a hard requirement, either the TMS320F28075 or the TMS320F28003x would be a good fit.

You should use latest Code Composer Studio (CCS 12.1.0)

JDJ,

No, CCSv3 is only for older F24x/LF240xA devices. All 28xx devices only work with Eclipse-based CCS (v4 and later).
