Hi,

When using the C2000 in peak current mode control, is there a formula to determine the accuracy or resolution of the main output of the power supply based on DAC slope compensator and PWM frequency?

In another word, what is the main output total resolution for example when:

1) slope is 20, PWM freq = 100KHz

2) slope is 20, PWM freq = 200KHz

3) slope is 40, PWM freq = 200KHz

I try to understand how accurate the output can be based on the settings. I try to see if the TI solution can achieve a specific requirement.

Sorry for the late reply. I am checking if we have some data to show internally. I believe this relates to our CMPSS DAC performance and PWM as you just mentioned. BTW, what is specific requirement you would like to achieve?

Hi,

no problem. Since slope compensator is now digital for peak current mode control (step slope), I would like to see how this digital slope is affecting main output accuracy based on PWM frequency and slope. With analog slope compensator we can achieve 0.1% or less. Since slope is now discrete and has a speed of 100MHz for internal CMPSS DAC, I would like to know how it does affect my output if we want to migrate to a digital solution.
