LAUNCHXL-F280039C: C2000ware example: CAN pin different to controlcard

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F280039C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hello,
customer has a launchpad and tried to use the CAN examples from the C2000ware. After some days of debugging he recognized that the CAN examples were writen for the controlcards and use different GPIOs (GPIO4/5 instead of GPIO32/33) for the CAN peripheral. Why not using the same GPIOs for the controlcard and launchpad? Or use a define in the examples to switch from CC to launchpad.

Regards, Holger

  • Holger,

There are separate build configurations for Launchpad and ControlCard in the projectspecs.

If you look at the projectspecs for the CAN examples, the build configurations for Launchpad are CPU1_LAUNCHXL_RAM and CPU1_LAUNCHXL_FLASH.

Also, there is a #define "LAUNCHXL_F280039C" for enabling the pins related to the Launchpad.

If you are running on the Launchpad, you will only need to switch to these build configurations after importing the project into CCS.

    Best Regards
