Hello,

I am configuring TCAN for selective wake up with USB2ANY and I have connected vector device to send CAN wake up Frame in sleep mode.

I have below observations on the same;

Periodic RX error is observed on CAN if in standby or sleep mode.

 

 

No RX error observed in normal mode, but not able to send any message on CAN, seen below error on write window

 

what is missing here, and how should be the CAN wakeup frame structure?

Arb ID: 03 Data: 01 07 Is this correct, if I configure the same through SPI.

    Hi Yogini,

    Could you give some additional information here to make sure we can best help? I'd like to clarify whether this query is related to the software or related to the CAN transceiver.

    What is the CAN transceiver you are using here?

    When you say "if in standby or sleep mode," do you mean that the CAN transceiver is in standby/sleep mode? I would not expect standard communication to occur while this is the case.

    Hi Danny, 

    Transceiver is same which is mentioned in part number. It is TCAN 1145Q1. I am not expecting CAN comm in standby or sleep. But I am expecting it to wake from sleep when selective wake up is configured.

    Yogini,

    Apologies for missing that on my end, I didn't catch the title of the post. Slight smile

    Section 10.4.5.2 of the TCAN1145-Q1 data sheet gives a procedure for configuring the device for frame detection and selective wake. Were you able to read back the registers to ensure that your preferred WUF setup is what is currently written to the TCAN1145-Q1 registers?
