I have managed somehow to break many of my projects. Previously I would click the green bug and they would compile, build, and load. Now they are disconnected and I must manually connect them and manually load them. I must have inadvertently changed a setting but do not see anything obvious in project properties.
It may be related to the fact that some projects had syscfg files at one point and I removed them.

Please take a look at the project. There should be a target config folder. Please make sure the one of the ccxml file is active. If it is not active, then right click it and select 'Set Active'. Now if you press the bug icon, it should do all of those you mentioned.

Please open your project setting
Select 'CCS General' from left pane, and then please verify if you have automatic target configuration is checked.

I was not clear enough. Select the project, right-click, and then select 'Show Build Settings...'
Then on the left panel select 'CCS General' and then on the right size, make sure you have the checkbox selected as shown in the picture.
